A small plan for a big change

About Puptoday

A new puppy changes the shape of your day. Puptoday helps you put potty breaks, meals, rest and short practice sessions into a routine you can follow.

It is for puppy owners finding their feet in the first weeks at home, including apartment households and people arranging help during work hours. Start with the free daily schedule, then adjust around the puppy in front of you.

How the schedule is built

The generator applies rules of thumb to your puppy's age, size, home and hours away. It places potty opportunities around waking, meals and play, adds rest and brief practice, and suggests care breaks during absences. It runs in your browser. You can build and print a schedule without an email address.

The times are planning examples, not measured bladder limits or a prediction of your puppy's progress. Offer a break sooner when your puppy needs one. Sleep time is not permission to keep a puppy in a closed crate. A schedule cannot replace supervision or another person's care while you are away.

Our approach draws on the AKC's potty training guidance, gradual crate introduction and AVSAB's reward-based training position. These sources inform the guidance; they do not endorse Puptoday or validate its exact timings.

Reward-based guidance, with clear limits

We use rewards, patient practice and comfortable steps. We do not recommend punishment, shock collars or dominance methods. Puptoday is not veterinary advice and gives no medical or medication advice. Illness, a sudden change in potty habits, aggression or a bite on a person needs individual professional help.

How we make money

The daily schedule is free. Our paid offering is the Coach plan: daily adjustments from logs, video checks and chat with your puppy's history. Coach is separate from the free generator. We offer monthly or annual plans, never weekly billing, with cancellation at any time. See Free and Coach plan details and our refunds and cancellation terms.

Editorial policy and corrections

Oleh Onysko is the founder and editor of Puptoday. He edits every guide against the published sources cited on each page.

Guidance links to its sources so you can check the reasoning and read further. Our editorial checks focus on source support, reward-based methods, useful examples and clear limits. A planning estimate must be labeled as a starting point, and we do not present it as a clinical result.

We do not claim veterinary review where none has taken place. When guidance changes or an error is confirmed, we correct the relevant page and update its date. Trainers, veterinarians and puppy owners can send the page link, the passage and a supporting source to hello@puptoday.com. Please leave out personal medical records. Contact us for support or correction requests.
